Survey Results: Marketing to Our Communities

Pie chart showing summarization of Marketing to Our Communities survey results

Community Literacy of Ontario, Marketing Survey Results, 2007 (Based on 55 respondents)

Methods of marketing are as diverse and eclectic as the communities themselves but can be divided roughly into eight categories. The first four make up about 85% of the pie graph:

  • Community events and presentations 24%
  • Media and advertising 24%
  • Newsletters, brochures, flyers, posters 19%
  • Networking with other agencies 17%

The smaller sections are made up of:

  • Volunteer related events 4%
  • Literacy only events 4%
  • Fund-raising events 4%
  • Other 4%

This graph represents our ongoing marketing in the community as opposed to special events, which will be covered in the next section.
