Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA)
The overall goal of Swedish development cooperation is to raise the
standard of living of poorer groups of people in the world. The following
six objectives have been adopted in order to achieve this overall goal:
Economic growth; Economic and political independence; Economic and social
equality; Democratic development in society; Sustainable management of
natural resources and the protection of the environment; Equality between
men and women.
