Who We are and What We do...

Started tutoring adults in our community in 1991 and incorporated as not-for-profit organization in 1995

The LCSS is an Anglophone, community-based agency affiliated with Laubach Literacy of Canada and funded through the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.

Tutoring is provided on a one-to-one or small group basis.

Our Laubach certified volunteer tutors are oriented in providing 100% confidential, learner-centered training.

Other services we provide...

Information and Referral to other local literacy agencies and/or local service groups as required by the individual learners.

Assessments of literacy participants' prior learning skills

A portable Training Plan outlining the learner's goals and strategies for achieving them.

Documentation of demonstrated skills attainment.

Access to both our own and Learning Disabilities Assoc. Resource and Reference Library.
