Saskatchewan’s What Did You Learn Today contest winner announced

The Saskatchewan Literacy Network wishes to thank everyone who participated in this year’s “What Did You Learn Today” contest sponsored by the Canadian Commission for UNESCO to bring awareness to International Adult Learners’ Week (IALW) April 2-9, 2011.

The winner is Annette Beaulieu of Shellbrook, Saskatchewan, who wins a new Apple iPad 2.

In order to enter the contest, Saskatchewan residents 18 and over were asked to tell the network what they learned. A total of 263 responses were posted on the contest website throughout the week.

During IALW, adults across Saskatchewan learned everything from how to retrieve the fax log from a photocopier, to how to use the equipment at a local gym, to how to properly install a child safety seat.

Read all of the entries at http://www.sk.literacy.ca/entries.html.

The contest closed on April 9 at midnight and a winner was drawn on Monday, April 11, at 11 a.m. by Lisa Vargo, secretary for the Board of Directors at the Saskatchewan Literacy Network.
