National Adult Literacy Database

NALD makes improvements to its websites

FREDERICTON, NB – In an effort to better serve its clients and stakeholders across the broad spectrum of literacy and essential skills, the National Adult Literacy Database (NALD) is pleased to announce the following enhancements:

The content of the NALD@Work website is being integrated into the main NALD website and the consolidation of resources, information, contact listings and key features of NALD@Work will happen gradually over the next few months.

  • News related to workplace essential skills, workforce development and workforce preparation is now visible on NALD and tagged “essential skills.”
  • NALD@Work’s Feature of the Month is now included on NALD’s front page.
  • NALD@Work’s glossary of adult learning and workplace-related terms is now located in NALD’s top menu field.
  • Website listings – both adult literacy- and essential skills-related – have been blended as have the NALD and NALD@Work contact lists.
  • NALD’s library resources and event listings have not been affected.

If you normally access information through NALD@Work, you will easily find what you are looking for through the NALD interface.

When the transformation is complete, adult literacy/essential skills news and listings will be together in one central location on NALD and you will still have the option of viewing workplace essential skills information on its own.
