The Healthy Aboriginal Network: Non-profit promotion of health, literacy & wellness

In preparation for the release of three new books, the Healthy Aboriginal Network is looking for resource information to put on the rear outside cover. National resources are preferred (website and toll free numbers) but they will highlight a few outstanding local sites as well. The topics are:

Youth in care resource information

Sexual health resource information

Living with FASD resource information

They will be printing a minimum of 20,000 copies of each of these books, so it is an excellent way to get the word out on what you're doing. Please don’t send an email to order books yet. They will let you know when they are ready for sale.

Evaluation partnerships

A couple of their new books have evaluation dollars attached to them, but none of the old books do. If any educational organizations, professors or students are looking to make a link between literacy, Aboriginal youth and comic books, they would be very interested in talking to you. Their older books can be found at www.thehealthyaboriginal.net.

Thank you for your time. You can find more information on these books and how they focus group test the draft stories with youth and health professionals at: www.thehealthyaboriginal.net and www.youtube.com/user/HealthyAboriginal.
