UIL’s online library holdings now searchable in UNESDOC

All the data of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) Documentation Centre and Library’s 30,000 online catalogue entries have been transferred during the last 12 months to UNESDOC, UNESCO’s online catalogue. Users can now either search for UIL holdings in UNESDOC – or widen their search to all UNESCO library holdings.

Words for Work program in UK improves communication skills for young people

The evaluation shows that 70% of young people who participated believe they have improved their speaking and listening skills; 93% of the adult volunteers who worked closely with the pupils believe their young people are better communicators; and 88% of teachers involved stated that Words for Work impacted directly on pupils' skills.
