One-third of Quebec workers revise their retirement age upwards

According to a recent CROP poll conducted for the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés after the March 17 announcement of new government measures respecting the Quebec Pension Plan, one-third of Quebec workers feel the new budget provisions will encourage them to remain in the workforce longer.

2010 Patents Demonstrate ETS Intellectual Leadership

Educational Testing Service (ETS) furthered its continuing mission of expanding educational opportunities and driving innovation in assessment in the final months of 2010, when the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted five more patents to nonprofit ETS, bringing to 12 the number of patents ETS received last year.

OLC analysis of 2011 Federal budget (PDF)

The Federal budget delivered March 22nd held little news and no surprises for literacy and basic skills programming in Ontario. As anticipated, the budget confirmed the end of the Economic Action Plan announced in 2009. This means that it did not renew the two year transitional funding to provinces for skills and training.
