Government of N.B. launches training program for non-profit sector

Every year since 1999, on January 27, Family Literacy Day (FLD) is celebrated in communities throughout Canada with activities related to reading, writing and math. 10 per cent fewer Canadian companies plan to hire working mothers in 2011

In a worrying development for equal employment opportunities across the globe, new research commissioned by flexible workspace solutions provider Regus reveals that only 31 per cent of Canadian firms declare they plan to hire more working mothers as compared to 41 per cent a year ago. Globally, 36 per cent of companies plan to hire working mothers in 2011.
