 Welcome to the Northern Workplace/Workforce Literacy Partnership.
We are a group of educators, employers and government officials from Nunavut and the Northwest Territories with a strong interest in workplace and workforce literacy development in the north. We created this website to provide information about literacy programs and policies that support good practice in both the workplace and in preparing people to participate in the workforce.
If you are an employer, an educator, a community worker, or someone working in education policy with an interest in workplace / workforce literacy in the two territories, we hope you’ll contact us about joining a Partnership. We will focus on coordinating, providing information and collaborating on all aspects of literacy for workers and those who seek work in Aboriginal, municipal or territorial government, the trades, the mining industry and other parts of our economy.
