Why Did I Come Back?

by Lisa Olsen

Hi! My name is Lisa Olsen and I was born in Chatham New Brunswick. Why did I come back to school? That's probably what most people ask themselves. I know I did. Most people come back for other people. My family and friends want me to finish school. I did. But, I also came back for me. I want to feel more confident, have more self esteem and get my grade twelve so I can get a good job. I only have my grade eight, so it will probably take me a while to get to grade twelve, but I'm going to stay in CALA until I do. I kind of wish that I stayed in school instead of quitting. I would've been done now, and might have had a good job by now. But, at least I'm trying to better my life now. "Better late than never". When I get my grade twelve my goal is to get a job that has to do with kids (like in a day care or something). That's why I came back to school.
