My Award

by Emil Beaudoin

My name is Emil Beaudoin. I was born in Edmonton, Alberta on October 25, 1955 and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon. I lived in Whitehorse all my life. Whitehorse is my hometown.

The award is a plaque made out of metal and wood. Ken Chin from the Grocery People in Edmonton gave the plaque to me on March 18, 1999 at Super-A-Foods store. Why? Because I earned it for 25 years in retail foods.

I worked at Super-A-Foods for 3 years. The different places I’ve worked at are: Howards Econo-Mart in 1965 for 1 year, Hardware for 5 years, 25 years at Riverside Groceries, and 1 year at Super-Value.

I completed a Produce Management and Operations certificate course on February 16, 1998. I’m doing my English and Math for my GED at Yukon Learn.

What I want to do next is to take some more Business Math courses through Cornell University and through correspondence from Ithaca, New York.
