This week, we have a story written by Emma Charlie, from Duncan, BC. Emma is enrolled in literacy classes at the Reading and Writing Centre, Malaspina University-College, Cowichan Campus in Duncan.
I had a great time on our trip. That was the first time I had seen the Imax theatre. It was pretty interesting seeing the huge dinosaur and the huge theatre screen. We also went on tours at the B.C Museum. We didn't have much time to go to all three floors, but I quickly browsed through and found it pretty neat how far everything goes back.
I also saw my son's mural. I told my son Elmer I was going to the Victoria museum, and he said "Mom, you'll see my mural I made." I was really amazed when I saw his work on the wall.
The dinosaur movie was interesting. We also had lunch there and I was taking pictures here and there, we all had a great time. I got to buy a nice wolf plate. Most of all the best part was getting Nora, our teacher in the booth for her picture. She sure had a lot of audience watching her pose for her picture, you just had to be there. We put this picture on the wall and now there is a reward out for this person. Just kidding, we all had fun.
