The following story was written by Evelyn Constant, from Fort Providence, in the Northwest Territories. Evelyn was born in Fort Providence in the late 1950's. She has six daughters and one son. She is a former Aurora College student. Her future goal is to obtain a certificate for the Long Term Care Aide Program. Evelyn worked part time with the elders in the community.
Time for paydays
On time, never late
It's a special day
Time is slow by day
Days are getting longer
But not alone
Have to wait for the time
hour to minutes times up
Here's your pay
