Story of the Week

December 6, 2004

This week, we have a story written by SuLing Wang, from Edmonton, Alberta. SuLing is enrolled in literacy classes at ASSIST Community Learning Centre in Edmonton.

SuLing and her husband came to Edmonton from China almost 6 years ago - in February of 1999 - to live with their daughter Lily. SuLing has been studying English at ASSIST Community Services Centre since 2002 where she has met many new friends and learned a lot.

I love my grandson

by SuLing Wang

My grandson's name is Lloyd. He is 12. He is very good student in school. He loves me. I love him very much.

Last year, I often went to visit my grandson at school. I gave him a hamburger or pizza for lunch.

After class, we played ball together. He likes sports. He felt very happy.

Went to Hong Kong

My grandson lives in Hong Kong now. I miss him very much. But he will come back to Edmonton soon.
