This week, we have a story written by Rea George, from Sarnia, Ontario. Rea is enrolled in the Adult Learning Program in Sarnia. Her story goes out to Dwayne George, who is in Eagle Rock Boys Home.
A teenager boy, once had everything in life, but the more he got, the more he wanted. Down the road as he grew older, he knew all that came to an end. One day he looked at his life, first his childhood, it was so easy, when things got handed down to you, keep you busy and stay out of trouble. Then the teenager got older, His life started to change he got in trouble as time passed he found out that he didn't get nothing until he got it himself. He got in trouble more and more. The boy told his mother, "I know why you gave me all them gifts and got a good job. You wanted to help me make a life for myself and stay out of all the wrongs." The mother answered, "My son, I did it because I never got them things when I was small, so I think we both learned a lesson."
The boy said, "I don't understand mom." The mother cried and said, "Son I tried to make your life easy for you. But I did wrong. I should have made you work for the stuff you wanted. Not thinking that it would be handed to you." The boy said, "Mom I'll try hard to make something right now that I know I'm doing wrong. But first I'm going to get back in school. Then I'll make a goal. Because I love you."
