Story of the Week

November 19, 2012

This week, we have a story written by Elizabeth B., from Ottawa, Ontario. Elizabeth has recently been enrolled in literacy classes at People, Words and Change (PWC) in Ottawa.

In Sudan

by Elizabeth B.

In Sudan we go to school at the age of seven years old. My mother took me to school. I was very happy. Every day my mother brought my lunch to school. For me, school was fun and meeting new friends was exciting. I woke up in the morning looking forward to going to school to meet my friends.
