This week, we have a story written by Shelleke, from Toronto, Ontario. Shelleke was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He has two sons, Omellio, age 12 and Adrian, age 7. Shelleke has worked for the Canadian Pacific Rail and as a bus driver. Shelleke enjoys reading and music. He hopes to write his memoirs someday. Shelleke's future plans are to develop his computer skills and continue his education with East End Literacy School.
I saw the river. I felt like going for a swim. I quickly put on my swim suit and jumped into the water. I had a good swim. The water was nice and warm. When I was about to leave the water, I saw a lobster in the water and it scared me. But I went back into the water and caught it. This moment shows my bravery.
