About The Olympics

by Blessing

I think the Olympics are very popular, because it is an event that makes everyone so excited. There are two types of Olympics. One is called Winter Olympics and other is called Summer Olympics. In the Summer Olympics they play games like gymnastics, track and field, high jumps, javelins etc, and in the Winter Olympics you will find it little different because everything you will see is going to be on ice. They play games like figure skating, curling, hockey, and so on, but mostly on ice. Olympics have always been hosted every four years.

The Olympians are trained hard before they are asked to participate in the Olympics. Olympics are a place where every athlete wants to show the world who is number one.

Medals are one of the most important reasons why most Olympians want to participate on the Olympics. They want to try their best to win one of the medals, either the gold, silver, or bronze just to show the world that they are better than other Olympians.

The economy is another reason why Olympics are so popular. Every country wants to host the Olympics because it helps them in boosting their economies. It helps the restaurants to sell more food. It helps the hotels to sell more of their reservations. It will also help the cab drivers to make more money from the passengers. This is because there are many people that come into the country just to watch the Olympics.

Politics have made Olympics so popular in that every country wants to produce the best athletes. They always want their athletes to come out with flying bright colours. Then they will claim to have trained, and produced the best athletes in the whole wide world.

With these ideas of politics, medals, and economies, I still say that is why the Olympics are so popular.
