This week, we are posting a mother and a daughter's stories, from Prince George, British Columbia - Journey of a Mother & Daughter. There are two parts to each of their touching stories. Read on...
Tepanga is a 12-year old girl and is in Grade 7. She enjoys school and has been a member of her school choir. She enjoys music, dancing and swimming. She is proud to be able to tell her story and hopes it will encourage other young girls to write about their experiences.
My mom tried many times to clean up and finally she succeeded. To this day she is still earning her trust from me. Because she lied to me many times it hurt a lot. She could have died. Sometimes I still feel mad at her for lying to me. I think it will take awhile for this to all work out.
Now that my mom's clean she can accomplish all of her dreams. I hope she does. I hope I can achieve my dreams and have a closer relationship with my parents. My parents are separated and I spend time with both. I hope I don't make the same mistakes as my parents. I don't ever want to do drugs. I've seen what it does to people. I want to follow in my mom's footsteps now, not from before.
