Good Morning Moon

by Shelley Fraser-Biscoe

Good morning moon thank you for the night
for sharing with me your incandescent light
Calmly unfolding the short summer days
your presence appears as daylight fades
A welcome sight at the end of my day
We take a stroll as you light our way
into dream world to the land of Nod
Listening in harmony to nights soft promenade
As dawn kisses the earth, a day is born
Stretching awake I see you this splendid morn
Good morning moon thank you for the night
for sharing with me your incandescent light.
