The Nascar Legend Dale Earnhardt

by Sean Hill

After Earnhardt had been killed at the Daytona Speedway on the weekend. On Monday I was driving down the highway to school. I saw number 3# everywhere on cars and trucks and all over the place. When I got to class I started reading the newspaper about Earnhardt. I live in Victoria B C, it is 4200 Miles away from Datona Speedway. Earnhard had fans all over the world. He started odd jobs and dabbled in dirt track racing with a eighth grade education. His dad and Nascar drivers had a nickname for him, Ironheart and good friend, The king, Richard Petty. He was the winner of seven Winston Cup Championships, and Earnhardt was called the Michael Jordan of his sport. Nascar world will miss Dale. Dale Earnhardt,, the Michael Jordan of his sport made $ 1.1 billion in Nascar merchandising sales in the year 2000. The Earnhardt Family is all about Nascar racing: Dale, Dale JR and Kerry. Dale Earnhard was happiest flying by the seat of his pants doing 200 MPH.
