This week, we are launching 9 stories written by learners in Duncan, BC. As a special event you can read the stories and hear some of them.
The most interesting time in my life has to be when I was a child. That was when simple things used to make me happy like jumping in and out of puddles, playing marbles or just hanging out in the trails behind our house. Me and my brothers would spend hours in the trails playing tag or hide-and-go-seek.
I also enjoyed the times I spent with my family at the beach or when we went on trips to the interior to visit our relatives. My life was a lot more carefree then it is today. There was a time when all I thought about was having fun. But there did come a time when my fun and good times had to come secondary to my schooling and work. I often found it difficult to separate the two and that would cause some problems in my life. As the years went by I learned to balance the two. Over the last two or three years I have come to believe that life is too short not to have some fun.
