The following story was written by Glenn Harper, from Victoria, BC. Glenn was born in Vernon, BC in March, 1964. His family moved to Prince George because his father was a pastor at the church there. When he was about 4 or 5 years old, his family moved again to Sidney, BC. He went to about five different schools when he was growing up. Glenn is married and has two sons aged 6 and 2.
I was born in Vernon, B.C. in March, 1964. We went to Prince George, B.C. My dad was a pastor of a church in Prince George. I had a good time there. When I was 4 or 6 years of age, we moved from Prince George to Sidney, B.C. I went to school here in Saanichtion and it was ok.
When I was growing up I went to 5 different schools. Then I was finished school. I travelled in B.C. and went from town to town with a Christian rock band. I was the sound man with the team. I was there for one year. When I came back it was time to look for work. Then the opportunity came for me to go to Bible College in Dallas, Texas. I was there from June to August.
Then I went home to find work. At first I couldn't find work but later I found work. I got a job in Sidney for a long time. I had an opportunity to go on a cruise to the Caribbean. I had a great time when I was there. I saw beautiful places. We went to St. Thomas and St. John.
The food was awesome with 24 hour food service and the buffet. The ship was called the Crown Princess. It was Big. After the cruise I went to Disneyland in Florida and Orlando. I spent some time there. I enjoyed the time there. I was sorry to leave. It was so much fun, but I had to go home. I was looking forward to seeing my Mom, Dad and friends.
Well I was on my way to Victoria. I was on the airline and I got to Seattle. I went to the hotel and spent one night in Seattle and then caught the bus to Vancouver. Next, I caught the bus to the ferry. On the way home in the ferry cafeteria, I was ordering food when I met my wife-to-be. Now I have two children and we are so happy. Our two boys are 6 and 2. Our oldest is Jordan and the youngest is Benjamin. My first son was a miracle baby. I was so scared. I was afraid for the baby and my wife, so we went to our church and prayed. Many parents and the whole church family prayed as well for the baby and my wife. What you are about to hear is the true story about Jordan Edward Harper, the Miracle Baby.
