Story of the Week

July 8, 1996

This week we are featuring a poem written by " Black Wolf". The author expresses his desire and hope for a better life ... for his people, ..for the children, and for ...himself! He dares to dream that maybe someday...

Dream

by Black Wolf

It's not uncommon
to dream of a better life

Dreams are direction
dreams are hope

So take action brother
be proud- stand tall
sing an honour song
smoke the pipe
burn your smudge

For there is not a greater love
than to have love for your people
for yourself

Dream of love and unity
not of carnality, lust and greed

Dream of the children
happy, safe
and of the Creator fulfilling that need
