Our story this week is drawn from a collection of stories produced by the students at the Stony Mountain Correctional Institute, in Stony Mountain, Manitoba. D.S.A.'s poem speaks of friendship, and how it is to be treasured above all.
I looked into her eyes that are
so beautiful;
I'm overpowered with a feeling
that is so wonderful.
To hear her voice is like a heavenly song;
For I haven't heard it for so long.
And when she plays her violin
it produces a heavenly sound
That is so overwhelming that evil
can never bring it down.
To have a friend like her is
to be treasured
For a friendship like that can
never be measured.
