I came to Canada in 1975. We bought a house in St. Vital in Winnipeg.
My boys started to go to school and I started working in a sewing factory. I was sewing sports jackets for a year, then I quit. In 1976, I saw an ad in the newspaper. I got a job in Paulin Chambers Ltd. Biscuits. I worked there for 3 and a half years. Then we moved to Selkirk. In 1980, we bought a shop and I was working at the Vantasy factory in Selkirk. After one and a half years the factory closed. I stayed home two years. I was very sad. I sewed my own outerwear and knitted and cooked.
