This week, we have a collection of 6 stories written by learners in Woodstock, Ontario. Joanne, Shelley, Joe, Liz, Scott, Rob, Mary, Sarah and Tom are all enrolled in literacy classes at the Gateway to Learning Program, a part of the Thames Valley District School Board. The students in the literacy class worked together to write stories and prepare photos and images for a 2009 calendar.

A trip of a lifetime

I started watching football on TV. I watch it on Sunday and Monday. I am very excited about going to a game. This is first time for me to see a live game. The Toronto Argonauts are playing against the Montreal Alouettes. The Argonauts are my favourite team. The game is in Toronto at the Rogers Centre on October 18, 2008. An interesting point is that Mr. Rogers donated a large sum of money tot the Wookstock Hospital. Woodstock is where I live. My all time favourite player is "Pinball" Clemons. now after that special day, I can say that being at the game was an awsome experience. My team lost, but I had a great time!
