How I Came to the Barrie Literacy Council

by Mary Christianson

Five years ago, I lost my job. I was cleaning because I did not have the education to get a better job.

I went to see Ontario Works. I needed help to go to adult school. I needed money, so they sent me here to upgrade myself so I could get my high school diploma and get a good job.

Now I'm feeling so good about myself. The teachers put me back together again just like Humpty Dumpty.

Thank you for my new life.
