Story of the Week

March 8, 1999

This week, we have a poem written by Lina Warris, from Hamilton, Ontario. Lina went back to school when she was 38 years old. She can finally see that she will reach her goal to become a writer. Another goal of hers is to be financially independent. St. Charles Adult Education Centre in Hamilton has given her the opportunity to move forward in her life. When she first returned to school, she was ashamed because she was illiterate. She realizes that she still has a long road ahead of her, but she is detemined to reach her goal.

Love

by Lina Warris

Love is something you cannot explain.
It comforts you. It hurts you. You
cannot stand the pain you feel like
dying. So, if you love someone, make
sure that someone loves you.
You feel like crying too.
