Story of the Week

May 18, 1998

A Mother's Cry

by Angie Weicz

Even though I love my kids
I don't know how to love me
Going down this hard road
I wish people could really see
I think I tried as hard as I could
And tried to walk toward the light
But all there is is darkness
Nothing that's very bright

As my hands tremble
And my heart will fastly beat
All I see that I would be leaving
Are my two babies who are so sweet

So Lord give me the guidance
And please show me the way
For two children who really need
Their mommy home to stay
And as the thunder roars
And things start to go black
I know you're there beside me Lord
With your hands upon my back
