These stories were written by learners at Woodstock & District Developmental Services, in Woodstock, Ontario. This is a nonprofit agency which provides a range of services designed to enable people with developmental disabilities to successfully participate in community life.
Nancy Taylor has been married to Bill for 11 years. She works at Miss Woodstock Restaurant and she loves her job. She loves literacy and she really works hard on her math. Nancy loves having Dianne for a teacher.
When I was at ARC in 1975 then Bill came in to ARC in 1978. I was sitting with my friends then Bill Taylor came up to said hi to me then we came friends. He found me around and wait me outside Lady Bathroom with Greg Russel. Phyllis Butch and I was sitting in the lunchroom play cards after lunch. He found me around all the play cards after lunch. He found me around all the time to the store. Phyllis Butch and I lived together on Winnett. Bill came down to visit us. And we went for walk to the movies at night 7:00 pm.
One day Bill Taylor and I went to Canadian Submaine Bill Taylor give me a diamond ring to ask me to marry him. Bill Taylor and I move in together 1979 on Givins St. and Ralph and Cheryl Murray live next door. We lived together 8 years. We got married Nov 6 '87 at the County House. We have being 11 years. Bill's mom very happy for us. Cheryl and Ralph Murray witness for our wedding. Mom and Dad pay for super on wedding at Coppa. Ralph and Cheryl Murray Niagara Falls on honeymoon it weekend. We drove down to see the lights at the falls.
