Country and City

By Lori Thomas

In the country I feel more relaxed than in the city. In the city I have a hard time sleeping because of the noise. It is so peaceful in the country you can hear the birds sing. There are not as many cars in the country as there are in the city. People enjoy the quiet time that they have in the country, but in the city you don't have quiet time. There are always noises from cars, planes, people coming home late, dogs barking and sometimes there are cats fighting over their territory. In the country you don't have very many lights and they are not so bright. The city is untidy at times and it can be messy. The countryside is mostly clean all the time. Lots of people adore the countryside more than the city. Most people have a nice time in the country taking a car ride and going for a picnic in a provincial park. In the city they usually don't have many places to go for a picnic. Most people find that they can unwind in the country better than in the city.
