Story

by Ron Greenhorn

Hi my name is Ron and I have been coming to Literacy Nanaimo for 8 months.

I was a little apprehensive about coming here I didn't meet new people very well but as time went on I felt very comfortable with my tutor and staff that I met here as well as other learners. Coming here has helped me to read more and increase my vocabulary. It has also helped me to take part in group discussions and feel more comfortable around other people and also more comfortable meeting new people. I would recommend Literacy Nanaimo to anyone who has low literacy skills. The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff and tutors are very helpful.
