Story of the Week
July 16, 2007
This week, we have a story written by a learner in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. The author, Choolawtee Beeharry-Paray, came to Canada from Mauritius, to be closer to her children. She likes to help people. She says that in her country, you need a strong house for cyclone weather.
Why I love the LINC class
When I came to Canada the first time I didn’t read and write or speak English. It is very hard for me. It took me two or three years to know the English words. But now I’m doing very well. I can speak and write. I can do everything by myself. I thank LINC Class. I’m happy to have many friends, and for my age. I do everything by self. I have a cool, cheerful teacher. I am happy for my children who live in Canada. I have fun in the class.
