Story of the Week

December 31, 2007

This week, we have a story written by Ty Gramlich, from Drayton Valley, Alberta. Ty was born in Edmonton but has lived most of his life in Drayton Valley. He works for Panago 5 days a week. He also helps out in the local bottle depot Mondays and Fridays. Ty goes to a hockey game at least once a month - it is his favourite thing to do! He also likes listening to Country music and walking. Ty has two sisters and has just become an uncle. He has been coming to the local literacy program for about a year to improve his reading. When he gets time, Ty likes to look at newspapers.

My favorite sport

by Ty Gramlich

I like hockey. My favourite team is the Calgary Flames. My favourite player is Jarome Iginla or “Iggy” for short.

I like hockey because it is exciting. I shout “go, go, go” when I watch a hockey game.

I wear a special jersey when I go to a hockey game. I am a hockey fan!
