Progressing from group member to the group leader of the Bannerman Drop-In Center is just one of the significant steps Lori has taken, and recorded, as writer, songwriter, and singer, in her life. Not one to avoid an issue, Lori's writing reflects the insight she has gained, the decisions she has made, and the person she has become as she travels down her own personal pathway of discovery.

The Seasons of My Life

by Lori Adcock

You offered me a gift that I can't live without
You showed me the feelings that I have inside
With care and acceptance you taught me the seasons
The seasons of my life.
Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall are the seasons of my life
The things that I do and the things that I see
Represent a season inside.
And just as Mother Nature I'm not sure what I'm gonna get
The seasons just come and go

When the snow is falling I bundle up tight
I run under cover where I'm safe and secure
The blanket of whiteness shields all the feelings
And I live to survive my way.

When the rain is falling I let life go on by
Up until the one day the thunder didn't stop
I found myself confuse the feelings coming out
I didn't know if I could survive.

The summer roads were long and hard and Fall is still to come
Now I know I can survive anything that comes my way
I need to know your gift will be
Your gift will be with me forever.

Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall are the seasons of my life
Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall are the seasons of my life.
