The following poem was written by Sandi Klaehn, from Brandon, Manitoba. Sandi is enrolled in literacy classes at the Samaritan House Training Centre in Brandon. She is interested in writing and is very artistic. Sandi does woodworking, drawings and pencil art. She is also a proud grandma.
Quiet Stillness, that's the sound;
Stones are scattered all around;
Heaven and earth forever bound,
Celestial peace here will be found.
Friends and loved ones are always near;
Memories and happy times are all so dear;
They talk; they muse; they know we hear;
We are waiting, so have no fear.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust,
All things said, this is just;
Things turn out the way they must;
The LORD, OUR GOD, we have to trust.
