On Writing Poetry

by Rachel McLeod

I have a block, that
I have, a problem with
Ideas, having ideas
I don't know where
To start
And what ever
Poem I write, I don't
Think
It
Will
Be
Good enough
Frustration definitely
Does it matter how long it is?
As long as you keep
Going and going
That's
It

[This poem was taken with permission, from an anthology of stories, poetry and other works by students of Basic Education 10, SIAST Kelsey Campus, entitled VISIONS 17, page 23.]
