March 14, 2005

This story was written by Ajit, a student in the ELSA Program at Delview Centre in B.C.

Country and City

by Ajit Pathgigeda

It was January 2001. I am transferred to a town named Wilson and I lived seventeen months over there. Wilson is a little town. There was one café, one grocery store. Wilson's population was 1100.

While I am working over there I met Don. He was a good friend of mine.

One day I went to his house and knocked on the door, the door wasn't locked, nobody was home.

The next day I asked Don about the door. He told me most people go out without locking their doors. I couldn't believe people are so nice!
