The following poem was written by Meagan Ipsen, from Woodstock, Ontario. Meagan has recently started in the Literacy Program at Woodstock Developmental Services. She has wonderful, creative stories and loves to write. She also paints in her spare time. Meagan's dream is to get into a credit program at a college.
Those that do not know who Margaret Ipsen is,
will know in this story who she is.
You will not know her as human, you will know
her as soul.
I will give you a brief paragraph as who she is to me.
Margaret Ipsen is my mother. She is not just my
mother, she is my hero. The one who I look up to.
She has taught me many steps in life.
The one thing I can remember most is, she taught me
how to be generous to others. I can still remember
her saying to me, "Meagan if you are nice to people,
they will be nice back to you".
I follow that step everyday in life. Though my mother is gone,
she will always stay in my heart.
This story I wrote, is about a mother
who teaches her six children how to be proper in life.
I dedicate this story to my wonderful mom up
above.
