The HCLN has been at work in the Halifax area for 7 years. Funded by the Department of Education's Community Learning Initiative and with the dedication of community volunteers, HCLN is able to offer free one-to-one tutoring and classroom instruction at a variety of times and locations throughout the Metro Halifax area.

This is a free and confidential community-based literacy program serving the Hamilton-Wentworth region. It provides one-to-one reading, writing and math services for adults.

HALL is a non-profit community association made up of parents, citizens, business and government personnel, dedicated to providing resources and support to all parents and caregivers of young children (0-6) in Hampton and surrounding areas.

The Hastings Institute has earned a reputation for excellence in the delivery of training on issues related to employment and service equity, diversity, cross-cultural relations, literacy, and harassment-free workplaces.

The Centre will bring together experts, educators and policy-makers in selected work groups on a variety of age/life stages and healthy communities of learning, etc.

Helmets to Hardhats (H2H) Canada is a partnership with Canada’s building trades unions, their many employers across Canada, and Government stakeholders. The H2H sister program originated in the United States in 2003, and has been highly successful for America. H2H Canada will follow a similar model, but is focused on career opportunities in Canada for anyone who has served (or is currently serving and looking to transition to a civilian career) in either the Regular or Reserve Force Components of the Canadian Forces.

The HR Council for the Nonprofit Sector works with organizations, educators, labour and government to identify and address issues related to paid employment in the voluntary and non-profit sector.
