This is a society which offers crime prevention programs and activities for offenders and their families, ex-offenders, young persons and the public.

The John Howard Society of Manitoba, Inc. is a non-profit society which offers many programs and services, including literacy assistance, while striving to achieve peaceful relations in society.

This society supplies several services in support of literacy for inmates and ex-offenders as part of its Computer Based Integrated Learning Program.

The John Howard Society of Ottawa is an organization of citizens who accept responsibility for understanding and dealing with the problems of crime and the criminal justice system.

The John Howard Society of Regina understands and deals with problems of crime and the criminal justice system by offering programs of reform and support to all persons involved, directly or indirectly, with the criminal justice system.

The mandate of the Society is promoting effective just and humane responses to crime and its causes. It encourages people within the community to be aware of criminal justice issues and to share in seeking solutions to the problems of crime. Some of the services offered are: Coalition Building, Anger Management, Newstart Life Skills, Community Education and Community Crime Prevention.

For over 55 years, as the largest youth education organization in Canada, Junior Achievement (JA) has been inspiring and preparing more than 4 million youth to succeed in an ever-changing global economy. Last year alone, more than 226,000 students, in 400-plus communities, benefited from JA programs that were delivered by over 13,500 dedicated business mentors who presented in excess of 232,000 hours of instructional time.
