The Labour Market Group works closely with both educational institutions and literacy service providers in the districts of North Bay, Parry Sound, Burk’s Falls, Sundridge, South River, Callander, Mattawa, Powassan, West Nipissing and Temagami to promote the value of essential skills and education as a first step to career enhancement and development.

As a member of Laubach Literacy of Canada and a volunteer non-profit organization, the mission of Laubach Literacy Fredericton is to raise the literacy level of the people of the Fredericton area through the "Each One Teach One" method. Their trained tutors can take students to a grade six level in reading.
