This program, jointly offered by Dalhousie University and St. Thomas University, is designed for First Nation individuals who are currently working or interested in working in social work or related positions in First Nation communities throughout the Atlantic Region.
Formed in 1977, the MRLC (formerly the Greater Moncton Literacy Council) is a registered member of Laubach Literacy of Canada. This non-profit volunteer organization is committed to raising the literacy level of their community. Their trained tutors give adult learners one-on-one help, adapting the program to the goals of each student.
With care and concern for high risk youth and their families, Moncton Youth Residences Inc. provides services and programs for those requiring protective or rehabilitative support, or who are experiencing a crisis.
