NBACL works on behalf of individuals with an intellectual disability and their families to build inclusive communities where all persons can live, learn, work and actively participate in their communities as valued and contributing members. The New Brunswick Career Development Action Group is a non-profit partnership organization committed to career development in New Brunswick. It is governed by a board of directors made up of elected members from all areas of the career development field. The organization encourages cooperation, coordination, networking and information sharing among its members and with other groups.

Thirteen Family Resource Centres, funded through the Community Action Program for Children (CAPC), operate in New Brunswick . They offer a variety of programs and activities for parents and their children ages 0 - 6, including drop-ins, parent education and support groups, collective kitchens, and toy and resource-lending libraries.

This is a charitable organization that raises funds in support of New Brunswick’s public library system.
The public library system provides access to a collection of more than 1.8 million items, as well as to different programs and services. It promotes self-reliance by providing opportunities for New Brunswickers to enhance their knowledge and creative capabilities.
