CertWork: Work-based Managerial Certification

Newcomers to Canada possess many skills that are not recognized. The CertWork system was designed to alleviate this challenge by providing a pathway for immigrants and developing employees in entry level management in manufacturing. Eligible candidates for CertWork prepare a portfolio with help from a workplace mentor. The portfolio is assessed to a set of standards developed by the manufacturing industry. If candidates succeed, they receive a Certificate in Manufacturing Management issued by the Canadian Manufactures and Exporters of Manitoba.
