ABC Life Literacy Canada specializes in public awareness campaigns, and provides promotional support to local literacy groups. It is also the founder of Family Literacy Day, a national initiative that promotes the importance of reading and learning together as a family.

The Centre offers small and large group instruction, one-on-one, and computer assisted learning. Participants in the program receive instruction in reading, spelling, writing, numeracy, science and computers

AFLO works with local and regional programs to build a connected framework of family literacy practitioners and to strengthen communication and linkages within the family literacy community. This includes information sharing, referrals, providing resources, and creating a forum for discussion.

ALDA began as a Vancouver area support group for adults with learning disabilities in the early 1980's. Since then their focus has evolved to these roles : advocacy within the community; making referrals to other organizations; providing initial screening services; providing tutoring and advisory services.

AlphaPlus is an Ontario-funded organization that provides expertise to support adult educators. It does this through disseminating research, information and training involving innovative learning technologies – what technologies to use, how to use them, and when to use them. The work informs practitioners, literacy organizations and agencies on tools and best practices which results in more effective training of adult learners.

The AAACE is the United States’ premier organization dedicated to enhancing the field of adult learning. Its mission is to provide leadership for the field of adult and continuing education by expanding opportunities for adult growth and development; unifying adult educators; fostering the development and dissemination of theory, research, information, and best practices; promoting identity and standards for the profession; and advocating relevant public policy and social change initiatives.

Founded in 1980, ARCH: A Legal Resource Centre for Persons with Disabilities is a community-based, not-for-profit legal clinic and legal resource centre for the Province of Ontario, dedicated to defending and advancing the equality-rights of persons with disabilities.

Continuing education courses at Assiniboine Community College are offered with several objectives in mind: to assist those seeking career advancement; to provide basic instruction for those who want to change their occupation; and to assist those already engaged in business or industry with instruction in the technical and theoretical aspects of their work.

AWENS is an association of adult educators who instruct essential skills programs in Nova Scotia workplaces. Their goal is to provide a forum for the promotion and advancement of excellence in instructional practices through networking and frequent professional development opportunities.

The Australian Council for Adult Literacy Inc was established in 1977 to promote issues regarding Adult literacy and numeracy policy and practice.
